What kind of web browser does everyone use?

Hi all!
Hey its me again and i was wondering what kind of web broswer does everyone use and which do you think is the best web browser? Personally I think, and use FireFox! Its the best in my book about 6 times faster than internet explorer!

-The Creator

i use Minefield

i use Lynx because it’s six times faster than FireFox

Windows 7 >>>> Firefox

Linux >>>>>> Swiftweasel (firefox)

I’d rather run firefox under windows because of extensions like Cooliris which makes image browsing so beautiful.

Google Chrome is good, so good! But there is not a version for linux for now. But they are gonna make it. before google make the version for linux they will make another one for OSX.

And every good distribution have own name for Firefox for linux. For Gentoo its Iceweasel, i dont know witch distro use Swiftweasel. maybe Debian or Ubuntu or both.

based on webcounter of one site (i would not tell you the name) the people uses the following browsers:

Firefox - 50%
IE - 43%
Opera - 6%
Chrome - 1%
( less than 1% uses Safari)

Also you may test the quality of rendering. Check the acid test. i have installed the following browsers and they have the following score:

Firefox 3.0.5 - 71 (sometimes 70)
Opera 9.61 - 85
Chrome 0.2 - 78 (have to update it. i havent installed the final version yet)
IE7 - 12

As you can see dont use IE, unless you know what are you doing ;D

For everyday browsing i am using Forefox but soon i may star use Chrome.

I have mostly used Firefox, though I have recently switched to Vimperator (Firefox with plugin to make it act like Vi). I use w3m when I don’t have a GUI.

I am using Firefox, but soon i may switch to Google Chrome. I prefer it because of lightweight interface. But not so much addons. however, ill think about it.

And btw the Firefox for Gentoo Linux is named Iceweasel, but you may compile it as clear firefox.

You may test the quality of rendering with Acid Test. IE7 really suck on that test.
So DONT USE IE7, UNLESS YOU KNOW WHAT ARE YOU DOING! :D:D

I started using Firefox when it was still called Firebird.

I like to use Firefox.

Google Chrome.

Not quite universally supported, but its lightening fast.

@dyf minefield hmph? ill look into that one never heard of it lol!
@onemanblend lynx another one to look into lol!
@egan ive been looking at some plugins so would you reccomnd that one?
@set_killler ive heard of a lot of people lately saying that there switiching to google chrome! lol!
@plantperson wow! I didnt know you were that old!!! Lol jk!
@ren same here!
@free_ality Another person saying that lol!

Well personally i have loved firfox so much lately!

Mozilla FireFox is fast most important to me is the Add-ons, thus tool are really great, safari is cool too but not not like FireFox in Add-ons and what have you, safari has A cool fount, easy to the eye and if I am not worng faster…

ok ok… I personlly use FireFox more than any thing out there, FireFox is Mon amour ! http://kendhin.890m.com/emoticon/love.gif

I have been trialing Flock. It is based on Firefox but has a smaller footprint and is slightly faster. It also uses a lot of the same Add-ons.
Other than that there is not much to recommend it unless you are keen on social networking.

he is a dinosaur (see avatar) … maybe the oldest blender user that has ever roamed the earth!

Lol!!! Thats true lol!

Im using opera. Imo it’s faster than firefox, atleast on my pc, and apparently is 1 of the safest webbrowser. I don’t really care about the add ons, I’m just using opera out of the box so to say.
And I like it’s clean look (no random button placed all over the interface).

Firefox for development and Chrome for general browsing.

I love Safari, Mac OS X’s native and awesome browser.

Yes and no. I love it and find it makes browsing a lot more efficient, I can spend more time reading and less time using the actual browser. That said, I wouldn’t recommend it it Joe User because it is based on Vi (an old Unix editor, then many people find difficult to use). You have to know how to use Vi or be willing to learn. It makes Firefox completely keyboard based, and modal; making you much more quick and efficient. You might have to edit config files to get it working the way you want (for example, one of the keys [[ or ]] allows you to go to the next or previous page, but it didn’t work as expected here, as it would go to the next/previous thread, so I had to edit that).

Some Add-ons I do recommend for most everybody are:
Adblock-Plus: get rid of ads for good.
Mouse Gestures Redox: Kinda the opposite of Vimperator, it allows you to do everything with the mouse, with gestures, i.e. RMB drag right to go back. Highly configurable.
DownThemAll!: Download manager that allows you to download things faster by breaking them into pieces. Another thing it can do is allow you to easily do mass-downloads, i.e. you need to get 200 images off a site, but don’t want to have to save them each independently.

Thx ill look into those! I have DownLoadThemAll! but i cant figure out how to use could anyone out there help me with this problem?
