Surgery is unlikely to be the way I go (the allure of groinal-heart pokage notwithstanding). This year I’m applying to MD/PhD programs (the goal being academic medicine / medical research) so getting in is a hell of a present. I’m still pushing for 2 or 3 more schools that I’m interested in, but it is very good to have one in the bag.
