I don’t normally promote my videos here even though they’re all made with Blender. But since this one is a bit more artistic I thought I’d share it.
I actually had some issues with the last few planets because the Sun was so small that it was causing really bad flickering (even with high samples). I did eventually figure it out, though.
Rendered with Cycles in v4.3.2.
Total render time was about 400 hours (16 days).

Just pondering, if the dwarf planets like Pluto are so far away, have no (or not dense) atmosphere and receive so little light from the sun would you not be able to see the stars better?
I wound imagine they would be pretty visible even in daytime.
I actually like double-checked my math multiple times because of this. But apparently I didn’t realize before just how dark night is. Night time is about 600 million times darker than daylight on Earth, so daylight on Pluto being only about 1,500 times darker than daylight on Earth, you can imagine how dark the stars would still be (about 350,000 times darker than Pluto’s daylight).
I should’ve realized this since I’m a photographer and I generally have to expose for hours at 100 ISO for stars whereas for daylight 1/2000th of a second at ISO 100 is fine. But for some reason it just never clicked… 
Also, there actually is an HDRI of stars in all the videos (set to the proper brightness). But even boosting the exposure of the 32bit image as much as I could, I was never able to see that HDRI.
I do not really have any idea, it was just a thought (or mental image).
