:mosque: I haven’t built a large machine like this in a long time. It’s been fun and incredibly rewarding! I hope you find it satisfying to watch those little marbles journey through the city. There are still so many details I’d love to add, so we’ll definitely build another Arabic city in the future.

Got ideas for the next theme? I’d love to hear them!

Love it, that carpets and lamps are really nice details.

Simply captivating! The city is magnificent. I noticed that the marbles bring it to life, like locals going about their business.

Thank you! I’m glad you liked it.

I’m so glad you felt that way! It’s exactly the vibe I hoped to achieve. Any ideas for the next theme?

Thank you! Any ideas for the next theme?

First idea: an ancient underwater city, where the marbles could evolve in transparent tubes.
Second idea: a highly simplified and transparent human body where the marbles could play the role of red and white blood cells.

Thanks for the awesome ideas! I’ll definitely add them to my list. The first one reminds me of Rapture from BioShock. The second idea is super creative too. Love where your imagination is going!

As usual this marble machine looks awesome! The music could’ve fit the theme better (like, arab-esque) but the looks are flawless. I love the little details - the pottery, the carpet - and I keep seeing more of them. Great job!

Thanks! You’re the first one to notice the music. I actually used “Obituary” from The French Dispatch as a reference to find this royalty-free track. It has a bit of an Arabic touch and gives off that quirky, nostalgic vibe, kind of like The Grand Budapest Hotel.

So cool. I’d love to see a behind the scenes video about the build. How much is physics sim? Will it run endlessly/loop on it’s own? Bravo.

Thanks! I might do a short video showing how it’s built. It’s all Rigid Body physics, so everything’s simulated. It loops endlessly, paths reconnect back to the start.

I featured you on BlenderNation, have a great weekend!

In my opinion, in this Marble Run I’m missing the way the balls come back to the top of the city. I really like the idea of the infinite loop so don’t see the loop closed leave a feeling of missing something.

Except this, it’s really great.
