A dumb question. Where is the Metal RT option in Blender 3+? For example what version and panel?
Someone else probably has more technical understanding than me, but it’s more like a raytracing library to my understanding. It uses the gpu, but there currently isn’t any dedicated raytracing hardware for apple silicon comparable to nvidia RTX.
Also, while it seems to help some scenes, others render slower with metal RT enabled, so it’s sort of just another option to consider when optimizing renders on apple devices.
