White Strawberry Ice Cream

Hi! I am new to this forum, I’ve been using Blender since 2018 and I am always learning and amazed by the helpful community built around this software
This is a render of an ice cream, all done in Blender 2.79 - Cycles (until recently I didn’t switch to the new 2.8+, but let me say 2.8+ is just amazing!!!)
There are some more renders in twitter
Thank you!

Thank you for the nice comments! :face_with_hand_over_mouth:

Very realistic. Looks awesome.
You have done an excellent work here.
How about posting some workflow details/ breakdown shots as well of geometry/material /texturing etc?

Where can I find a ice cream like that ?

Thank you so much for the comments!!
Here’s a very quick explanation of material and geometry from what I can remember (this project was made months ago)

GEOMETRY
The ice cream is made of not optimized high-poly sculpted objects (they don’t even have multi-res modifiers and it’s something I don’t recommend at all!, it gets VERY slow)
There are also smaller objects (the syrup drops) to give it some volume
The other objects are very basic in geometry

TEXTURES
The ice cream is made of one shader, which uses a “hand-painted” texture to mix the ice cream parts of the shader with the syrup parts of the shader
The base color of the shader is also a hand painted texture

This is what the shader nodes look like and the editor view:
