Who tried Plasticity for games, what's your opinion on this CAD?

I decided to try to up my skill in creating 3D models for games, looked up how people doing it today, mostly people mix hard-surface software with ZBrush to add details, bevels and booleans.

But there’s also people who actively promote usage of CAD software, especially Plasticity. I’ve looked it up, and I see where it could be useful, but in most cases it seems… redundant? I can understand how using ZBrush can benefit (especially considering it’s insane optimization level), but main problem with CADs is retopology, basically I have to spend extra time to either retopologize, or straight up remodel whole thing from the ground.

What’s your opinion on using Plasticity in game development? What kinds of shapes and objects you usually use it for?

actuly no game use cad modeling. cad is mainly use in engineering/manufacturing
99% of game industry use 3ds max , maya, blender for modeling hardscurface and for organic zbrush is the industry standard.

Well, for highpolys it’s awesome, especially since it’s more friendly for Blender users, but wouldn’t use that as mesh to cleanup to get the retopo, I’d retopo from scratch. Cleaning up cad for games is a pain.
