Why blender is adding new material when importing USD from maya?

T-shirt and Pant model both shares same material in maya that is “S_CasualDress_MTL”


However when importing in Blender, Both model have different material.


Blender is creating new material with suffix"_st_st" for pant model.
Importing same USD in maya, both model have same material.
I could re-assign material easily but this project is about 40 min and I do not want to keep re-assigning material for all shots again and again.

this is maya export setting.
I tried to look it up online but I could not find any useful information.
If you are familiar with USD workflow please guide me to solve this problem.
