Why does this curve act this way?

it is supposed to be a scroll opening and closing and it does that, but a bit of the scroll sticks out the middle!
i tried both removing and adding vertices in the middle.[Uploading: SCROLL PROBLEM.blend…](()
move the curve on the Y axis to see it work
i still use 2.69 no i am not going to try the newer ones

thanks everyone

Somehow the upload didn’t work. Can you try again posting the blend file?

C,mon guys, somebody must know!

your spiral curve isn’t long enough to hold the unfurled version, so it protrudes along the last portion of curve it had left.

well here is one with LOTS of coils.
anyone know why it does not work at all?
how do i convince blender to let it work!
thanks all

you have a loose point on your coil curve:

delete that point, and it should work much better.

I would recommend applying rotation and translation on your parchment and your curve, also I would advice deleting the animation and starting over, as it seems pretty wonky at this point.

Get your curve deformation working well, then do the animation again.

found the loosepoint thanks
still misbehaves!
i will start over.
rotation and translation - where do i find them?
thanks

Press crtl+a in object mode, select location and rotation to apply transformation.

thanks for your help.
can 2,69 do bounces? not in the blender game but the normal blender

got it to bounce. now i need to delay the bounce for a few seconds.
any ideas anyone?
thanks
