Why I can't set bones and humans to parents?

hello, when I want to set the human and bones to parents with strg+p and with automatic weights it says : ,bone head weighting: failed to find solution for one or more bones" But with other objects it works. Why ?

I you created the initial bone with add armature > single bone?

No, that will work… then you select the human and then the bone object (one armature), pressed ctrl p, and then automatic weghts, and it gave you that error. Hm, can you post the blend file?

Yes, I posted it as an obj.file

Sorry, I didn’t notice that, but can you post the blend file? The obj file may have other changes to it.

No its okey I posted it when you asked for it, so you couldn’t notice it :smiley: I posted the blend.file now

I noticed your mesh is very dense so I ran a decimate modifier, Un-Subdivided 2 times and applied it. Then the automatic weights option worked. You could use the mesh the way it is but you would have to use empty groups and paint the weights yourself. (note I was using the OBJ file you supplied, I haven’t looked at the Blend file I just noticed you added.)
