Why wont Blender load

Ok, that seemed to do that trick because just a few minutes ago. I downloaded it again it opened (no crash) and then restarted my computer to it crashing.

After I removed the old bamboo driver and restarted from prompt to do so to uninstall. It immediately opened upon clicking on it.

Now if that is the issue. I guess the question is why did an old wacom bamboo driver cause that? And if I plan to get a new wacom intuos pro, will I have the same issue?

Art student at a CC (currently GD (graphic Design track)) and wanted to learn 3D: plan to use/learn/paint in Photoshop, (Maybe Illustrator) and I wanted Blender to be my jump off point for getting into 3D. so just curious as to why blender seems kinda picky.

Also yeah I will give a shot at 2.80! and the 2.79b (the one that shows up on the download page w/ the blue button) is the old program now as opposed to 2.79??

Probably it’s the “old” there that’s the issue with your Wacom driver. Lots of people use tablets with Blender, so it should just be a matter of using a device that has full support for the operating system version you’re using.

2.79b was the last official Blender release, but that was nearly a year ago now and the current experimental 2.79 download represents a year of additional bug fixes as well as the latest version of Cycles (exactly the same as in 2.80). So generally the Experimental 2.79 should be better than 2.79b just because of how much newer it is, but it’s still possible that some new bug just got introduced that hasn’t been found and fixed yet.

It’s still not an “official” release so it’s not what’s presented on the blue download button that’s on the front page. The next official version will be 2.80 in the next few months.
