Windmill

EDIT: Update at end of thread…

My main project right now is “Chapel at Dawn” in the focused critique section. But since I don’t have that file (getting it recovered), I’m doing this as a side-project.
Maybe I’ll turn it into a full scene if the model gets good enough.
Right now the scene is sort of a mock-up.


very nice model so far, with some good lighting it will create a very good artwork.

(I didn’t render the lower wood panels because of the high poly count…)
I’m going to get some textures now…


Very nice modeling and scenerey so far. But one things I would change is to give the hill its sitting on more randomness and bumpyness instead of being just flat ground; other than the curve up you have to the left of the picture.

I have same kind of windmill under construction. And under construction it will stay. Nice going.

Maybe you should turn the wings just a bit off. They are now just straight horisontal and vertical. Just a little turn.

n64314: I agree that scenery needs some more variation… but I’d like to keep the windmill on a basically flat plane. However I think some hills in the background would be good. I just need to figure out how to do that:confused:.

Hmm… the clouds seem to be at the wrong angle with the ground, or is that the horizon in the background, if it is its kinda hard to tell, other than that great modeling :yes:!

great picture the back ground could use come landscape though. other than that its excellent.
