[windows] Project SoC bevel

Hello, new SoC project I will try to make some builds : bevel:

Log:
07/07/06:
Editmode bevel tool works now (to an extent)

I added the bmesh-to-editmesh-and-back-again functions, and
replaced the editmode beveling tool. You access the tool
from the WKEY menu (like the old tool).

The bevel amount is currently hardcoded.

The topology for selection-based beveling is created
properly now, with the exception that non-manifold geometry
is not handled yet, and may crash the tool (as well as loose
verts or edges).

The tool still does not produce accurate offsets.

The tool seems to now handle open meshes correctly (as far
as my tests went).

07/06/29:
Added a basic bevel modifier.
It does not always produce correct geometry, it only bevels the entire mesh, and loose verts or edges crash Blender when the modifier is applied.

do you ever sleep?
More Thanks.
m.a.

I don’t think he does.

Blender development has been busy as of recently, I like the quick pace.

This is one of the ones I am most looking forward to, but the problem with all these projects is that there are too many different builds…and I am having fun playing with Broken’s glossy reflections patch at the moment.

Its all too much goodness to keep up with, and thanks Lguillaume, for making it all available!

looks good sofar. I tested the result.

i hope that this project will go beyond a normal bevel tool.

a chamfer, radial bevel tool would be great. specifically when you
could add different radiuses for the bevel.

windows update : http://graphicall.org/builds/builds/showbuild.php?action=show&id=454 the bevel works better.
