It appears as though I have gotten a virus that causes the Blue Screen of Death every time I start up. I still can live, seeing as I have linux as well, but I can’t write to or otherwise modify my data partition, so I’ll be running entirely off my backup disk. I can’t figure out a way to get rid of the virus other than reinstalling windows, but my Windows disks are messed up, and I have a small chance of that working.
Does anybody know what I might be able to do?
Boot up in safe mode and system restore?
I tried that, but it started up halfway and then stopped. I waited for a while (about half hour, but I didn’t time it) and then gave up.
It’s about time I reinstalled windows anyway, and I’m going to adjust my partition size, so I’m pretty much set on that plan of action now.
