Wine Bottle Weird Neck Reflection

I am trying to match a shot from Karl Taylor where he uses natural light to light a wine bottle.

This is the original shot.

Now these are my attempts.

maybe a lot of things to improve but the one thing I am struggling the most is that weird glow on the neck.

on the photo the bottle reflects itself nicely and sharply. I am using the photographer addon to get the same camera settings as he was using, but I get this weird white glow.

anyone has any Idea why?

strange,

the only thing I would check is
if the normals of the bottle is correct,
are you using a reflection or environment map?

Comparisons are best made on the same scale… then you see you have a different form… with a slighty different curvation… which just makes a different spot on the bottleneck…

The original seems to have also a more matted/tarnished glas material…

thank you both for your input.

The normals were fine. I was not using and hdri, thats what I understand for an environment map.
I was using a specular map on the bottle yes. thats what I understand for a reflection map.

I then disconnected the specular map and tweaked it myself.

Okidoki hit the nail on the head. I was indeed using a differently shaped bottle. I went to edit mode and made slight changes to de modeling of the neck making it match a little more. It helped a lot, but i think the thing I struggle to notice was how white my ceilling was. I was using a pure white panel for a ceilling, hovering above the scene. I then changed it to something like a 808080 gray, and the white glow was gone. I think I’ll render it again with a more whitish color cause looking out now, I see the original does have a little bit of glow.

Anyways, thank you guys.
