Wine glass. (Blender)

Hey guys, been a while!
I’ve been modeling this scene in Blender I hope you guys enjoy it and feedbacks always nice as i am always learning more and trying to improve.
4K renders on drive if you want to check them out.

4K renders here https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1opv8H3j9SttnUJ5oq8GZWczsIx6ssMLD?usp=drive_link

As usual no ai and everything is modeled, built, textured and composited in Blender, amazing blender can do all that.

Special thanks to my loving parents for helping me design the wine bottle label and color.

Here’s a little behind the scenes!

Thanks for stopping by this is my first attempt at doing scene inside a building so feedbacks and advice is always welcome!

Would you guys like it if I did more WIP (work in progress) stuff as I build my art as I didn’t do much of that this time around, I am currently working on another scene currently though?
love to hear your guys thoughts on it.

Very nice atmosphere. It’s neat how the background is slightly more in focus seen through the wine glass. Interesting render showing the setup of the scene, there’s always something to learn when I see how other people set up shots with lights and furniture, etc. Great work!

Looks excellent!

I just tried to do a filled glass bottle (hot sauce) this morning, so I’m wondering what was your approach for the wine itself?

For the wine I took a cylinder boxed out the rough shape of the glass and used a boolean to cut off the excess geometry to the fit the glass scaled in a tiny bit to the fix the zed fighting.
then I made this shader for the wine. (Hope this is easy to copy)

and used a few lights to add reflections to the glass to give it form.

Nice! Thank you

I took my bottle, duplicated it, applied modifiers, and cut out the outside layer and closed it off

Then I found the material and scaled it out

Great way of doing it!

Thank you!

I think the main issue became my materials selection and background after that…but I’m glad BlendSwap approved it

Anybody know how to pack and share geo nodes?
(i’ve never done it.)

Looks lovely! I think you got the mood just right. I also like the behind the scenes shots, it’s interesting to see what the full scene looks like.

If I were to offer any feedback it would be that the rims of the glasses look quite thick. I would make them thinner and/or sharper because they appear a bit inconvenient to drink from. There also appears to be some stretching of the label on the bottle. The text appears narrower near the edges and wider in the middle.

These are minor things, I really like the render.

Very helpful feedback, I didn’t really notice much stretching until you pointed it out if look at the edges as well they seem a little tight on the label. thank you!

Thank you. I love whipping up stuff like that by playing around with stock vectors.

Like I have one for a beer food truck and one for a frozen pizza brand that specializes in cheddar cheese

Happy if it helps! I’ve had this kind of stretching too. Could be that the label is a flat plane that was UV unwrapped before a shrink wrap modifier was applied to place it on the bottle?
