Woman Face Anatomy Help

I’ve been trying to model a woman’s face for a project. I feel like i got all the features right but it still looks like a guy. What are any good tips for modelling the female face.

p.s. ignore the ears i know they look off, its because im going to be using toon shading so i only need the general structure for now.

The eyes are too big in proportion to the rest of her face, and the ears and jawbone should be pushed forward quite a bit. Also lower the ears.

Looking at your model I’m thinking sharp and jagged, where female characters would be soft and round; curves. In the case of a comic book/ cartoon approach: larger eyes(not meaning to step on toes), fuller lips, stay away from lots of details as it will either age the face or make it more masculin and in the case of your model, perhaps a little to much chin. Here is a reference site that I found helped me a lot (warning: may contain nudity): http://fineart.sk/photo-references/andrew-loomis-anatomy-books/drawing-head-and-hands

There is piles of reference stuff there and it’s a good read for figure drawing, anatomy, heads, hands, etc. Hope it helps. Keep on practicing.

It takes a lot of modeling to get good at this. The best advice I can give is do these 4 things: checkout the awesome tutorials on face modeling and topology at blender cookie, study the muscle structure under the face to get an idea of how to model the face in regards to how the muscles flow, practice, and in with practicing study pictures of female faces as you model. Look at the shapes, the form etc, and from there look at how the pros do the toon look, it’s good to base this in reality to make your work more believable. It’s really hard at first, just keep at it!
