Are those the built-ins? I’ve never been able to get them to look like actual wood before.

Would you mind giving a tutorial?

Tutorial please!

Nice work!

OK!
I will do it, just wait.

yeah those look really great.

Nice work. Could use a bigger render though  And I myself wouldn’t mind seeing how you did it

Definitely share how you did it. Please ;). Great results, especially with the floor.

That texture is an image if I ever saw one.

Nice texturing! Background needs to be better, but other than that I can’t see anything bad.

I hope not… I was under the impression that the tutorial was going to show us how to make that awesome wood from built-in blender textures. Or whatever they’re called.

Yes it is an Image.
But no problems.

I like it very much!

How long did the big one take?

That’s some awsome wood texturing, I usually make by wood using a much simpler image and then add detail with the procedurals.

I didn’t chronometer
but
that took a loooooong time! :stuck_out_tongue:

I suggest using AO (16 samples would be as good as the YAFray render).

except it wouldn’t look as good, and it would take about 10x longer…
