I was running a tezt on an animal tail and decided to experiment with hair dynamics using a UV sphere just to try out all the settings. I think I have the settings I need for a tail I am using but am having trouble figuring out which setting controls hair status on a complete stop. The simulation I ran, moving the UV sphere back and forth looked good, but on a fast stop, the fur get totally erratic and spreads as shown in the attachment. Any thoughts on what setting controls this? Also, would it be advisable to bake this before animating?
