I think we are seeing the convergence of 2D video and 3D animation. There is always a LOT of money made when two systems/technologies converge. For example, the phone and the radio => cell phones.

But does the program actually do any of the work itself? I.e., wouldn’t the exact same thing be possible in blender (or other app)if the virtual camera could be matched with the camera in video in the background? The only functionality this program provides is overlaying a 3d model on video, am I right?(And maybe matching camera movement automatically) Or am I missing something?
blenditall, i think that its a mix between 3d app and tracking app. You’re right… Well, it’ll be really interesting to have this approach to modeling/tracking in Blender… i’m no coder but there are some papers in there…
