wrapping one mess around another

Hey guys, been trying to figure this out for a while now. Im trying to bend the lens mesh around the head mesh without losing any detail. All i keep finding is about the shrinkwrap modifier and that just makes the whole thing into a big mess lol.

Any ideas of what process i should take to do this please?



  • With the shrinkwrap modifier, use Mode “Project” onto your surface.


  • No shrinkwrap modifier,
  • place and align object over its intended location.
  • Turn on snapping (magnet icon), snap to closest face, turn on: align rotation, and project elements on the surface of other elements.
  • With lens mesh selected, nudge it into position.

Snapping takes time to get used to. It will snap to whatever is behind the mesh so you have to be oriented correctly.
