Wrecked

“The crew of this long-term exploration mission barely survived the crash landing on this undocumented exoplanet, located somewhere in the arm of Orion, in a galaxy that would later become known as the Milky Way.
Knowing that it would take a rescue party years to reach their actual location, and with their supplies dwindling by the day, they decided to abandon ship and search for possible sources of water and food. They knew nothing about the hostile, carnivorous creatures that roam this ancient planet.”

Hey guys,

here’s my latest project. I drew some inspiration from the movie “65” which I found fun to watch. Especially the idea that a much older, space travelling species visited earth a long time ago, before humans even existed, got me hooked and I decided to try to build something with a similar backstory. This is the outcome. ^^

I used a freely available Blenderkit asset for the space ship, spent hours to make it look rusty, used, crashed and damaged and then threw it into this prehistoric environment. Building this was so much fun, like playing with Lego when I was a kid, but way more badass. :upside_down_face:

So I hope you like the picture.

Best regards,

Chris

It reminds me of the Phoenix from First Contact from this angle. I’d love to see the full ship.

I featured you on BlenderNation, have a great weekend!

Actually you can take a look at the ship. As I mentioned in the text I used a freely available model from Blenderkit, though I did some heavy modifications to it to fit the scene. :upside_down_face:

You can download the model here: Blenderkit - Star Connect

Thanks for checking out my picture. ^^

Wow, that’s pretty cool. I did not expect that. Thank you. ^^
