Wrong frames rendered in animation?

Hello! I’m a relative noob, so forgive me for any dumb questions. Just got a really puzzling situation when rendering a particle animation. It keeps rendering the first frame at random points in the animation, instead of the correct frame in the sequence. The really weird part though, is that when I try to render the individual frame by itself it gives me some completely different moment in the sequence, not the frame I’m trying to render. I haven’t been able to figure out a workaround. What am I doing wrong?

Did you bake the particle simulation before rendering?

I didn’t even know that was something I should do! Thank you for saying that. I will look up how to do that and give it a try.
