Here’s something I did mainly for fun, a WWII airplane.
Did some post processing in Gimp, most notably the prop blur, as Blenders motion blur kept doing odd things.
good job. Just that the plane is flying without a pilot. I assume the pilot is in the house like Global Hawk planes are remotely controlled. I like the motion blur too.

If you would like to “dig into details”, creating more advanced airplane models, you can use information from my site. You will find there some free models. One of them is a textured and rigged USAAC pilot (currently for Blender Internal, the Cycles version will be published soon).
Great Work! I would work on some lighting may some specular on the wings and make the cockpit more visible. It would be pretty cool to also add some intirior to the cockpit, unless you want everyone to think a robot is controlling it. other wise great work.
