X-36 Tailless Fighter

Rendering of a fantasy piloted version of the X-36. The X-36 Tailless Fighter Agility Research Aircraft was a 28-percent scale model of a theoretical advanced fighter aircraft built by McDonnel Douglas (now Boeing) Phantom Works and flew out of NASA Dryden (now Armstrong) Flight Research Center from 1997-1998, meeting or exceeding all project goals. No follow-on full-scale manned version as pictured here was built, so this fantasy is called the X-36B.
