Thanx!
Also I need this: your processor, your RAM and and your graphic card RAM.
Now I’m working with car handling problems. You was rigth. There were 4 time friction difference while you’re turning and while you release “left” or “right” key. That’s why car was turning so sharp.
Also I decreased friction while braking.
Thanks for test. Today I update download. So may be you’ll play it another time
I use 2.49b and Ubuntu 10 (not box - I’ve updated it from 9)
May be you could help me with “RUNTIME” for Linux.
Some time ago, I tried to make runtime from previous version. All works fine on my computer, but it was impossible to start game on any other computer. It seems like it is required to compile .blend on each new computer.
Please help me with understanding of this. I’m newby in Linux. But I need workable Linux download of my game.
Dear friends of my!
Please help me with tests. Now more computer power required.
I’ve tested it on Pentium Dual Core + GeForce105 512 + 2GB RAM - works pretty fine.
and on Core2Duo 1,83 + 1GB RAM + GeForce7300 256 - not so good.
It will work better if You’ll press R (replay mode) first.
The little Soviet town is the 1st track location. You can see it now at Alpha2.
Some screens to preview. All textures are real. All buildings are almost at their real places.
Those screens look good!! But the roads are to empty, you need lots of props. Street lights, garbage (what I did was make a simple mesh that was bumped and applied a transparent garbage texture I made, that fades out at the edges) and lots of stuff. Makes it less boring and more fun!!
Thank You for advise, Jes. A lot of stuff on the streets would make the game mush cooler and it would look better. But all this stuff will require comp resourses. I think I will do 2 versions of 1 track.
Full - maximum content
Medium - the buildings and only some additional objects
Low - the track only - no effects.
My own comp is capable to carry only the medium level.
Jes, If you have some example of your garbage, please send it to me to I could understand what you mean!
PS Today I make the test on such older comp:
Pentium D 2,8 + GeForce 7300 256 + 512 RAM
All’s open in my game. Feel free to look inside and use anything you want. Sorry I have no time now to write you an explanation about how exactly to do that. But I think it’s easy to understand - just explore .blend and scripts inside of it.
