Another finished project for yet another weekly Discord challenge. Theme was sentimental and/or everyday objects. This is the vaping device I’ve been using almost exclusively for years despite having a shelf full of other stuff. Rendered in Cycles. Modelling in Blender. Texturing and materials Substance Painter and Blender. The HardOps and MESHMachine addons were very helpful.

I also did a few short animations. The first using traditional faked handheld camera moves and the second using the wonderful Smartphone Remote addon.

Great photoreal renders! What are the white things hovering around the object? Are they dust?

Neat looking, but made that video seem less real.

Very nice renders. But – a human topic that is much too painful for me. “I loved them all, but couldn’t save any of them from tobacco.” :sob:
