I just noticed that it exists, is this any better than the game ready drivers? Does it improve render times?
I don’t really game so is it worth it to switch?

I use Studio, I’m not sure exactly what’s different but I know it’s optimized for 3D content creation ![]()
it’s just more stable, game drive have more experimenting & cutting edge feature
I use it because they say it is intended for Blender type programs, video editing, non-game things and is stable. I can say I have had no driver trouble.
I do use the Studio Driver, non Beta of course, but have used the standard game ready driver as well. I tend to only update to the latest WHQL every few months.
All in all I can’t say I’ve ever really noticed any difference either way. But I don’t play latest games and Blender tends to either work or not.
Still, in theory the Studio Driver is the better option, with less ‘trying stuff out’ and more stable code.
Sometimes I pick the game drivers and sometimes the studio drivers, but don’t know what I’m using at the moment and tbh I haven’t really noticed any difference whatsoever. But if you ain’t gaming I’d suggest to go for the studio drivers just because ![]()
Hi there,
I mostly use GRD, not SD, to be honest, but whenever I switched to SD, I have not really seen any difference. I guess it really depends on the VGA and the use case. GRD is usually further ahead. Not sure, but I think SD basically means, they patch up the GRD version, should it have someting going sideways, but I never really seen any more speed, or stability or so, from using SD honestly ![]()
