Zaou Gongen (Japanese Buddha Statue)

Hi all.:stuck_out_tongue: I made a Japanese original Buddha statue named “Zaou Gongen” 蔵王権現.
I used sculpt tools about 50% for making the rock and flame halo object. As for the rest, I used poly mesh.

Cycles 500passes

700passes

700passes. some work with GIMP. something like Japanese ukiyo-e style.

Hope you enjoy! :stuck_out_tongue:

Very authentic looking.

Looking really great!
Keep up the good work

Really a great artwork here, congratulations!

Congrats! I loved

2nd one looks best, but overall it’s a solid effort!

Cool! Looks great!

Very well done!
Wonderful piece of art!

Thank you all!:stuck_out_tongue:
I’m glad to hear your nice words!

The first one looks almost photoreal, wonderful job.

It might be unsuitable, but I shall use this space.
I was asked the following question from Luca on “cgcookie.com”.

You mostly used procedural textures? Your work is truly amazing, how did you achieve that wonderful rock material?
