Hi all. I made a Japanese original Buddha statue named “Zaou Gongen” 蔵王権現.
I used sculpt tools about 50% for making the rock and flame halo object. As for the rest, I used poly mesh.
Cycles 500passes
700passes
700passes. some work with GIMP. something like Japanese ukiyo-e style.
Hope you enjoy!

I’m glad to hear your nice words!

It might be unsuitable, but I shall use this space.
I was asked the following question from Luca on “cgcookie.com ”.
You mostly used procedural textures? Your work is truly amazing, how did you achieve that wonderful rock material?

So I will answer the question by using images.
This article was very helpful to me. Thanks Juan José Torres!
