This whole bent metal was really troublesome to retopo, I’ve started with subdivison workflow and quickly regreted it.

Beautiful asset, excellent work.

Would you be willing to share a wireframe? I’m just curious about what the topology looks like. That bent metal does look quite difficult to retopo.

Definitely not my proudest accomplishment, but it wouldn’t be perfectly smooth in real life as well. After all it’s bent and cut from one piece. High poly was modifier heavy (bevel, subdivision, shrinkwrap) so I was afraid I would have to do it from scratch. These holes were really painful.
