When I try to zoom in perspective mode I get a huge step from one point to another. I made a video to illustrate. Is there a good explanation for this behaviour?
I think the problem is that you are not focusing on the object. You can do that by selecting the object and pressing the “,” Button on your numpad.
You can also zoom in smoother by holding ctrl and pressing the middle mouse button and moving your mouse forwards. Hope you understand what I mean 
That would be on a keyboard where a symbol other than a " . " is used as a seperator, right?
