I mentioned Sierotka Marysia, now it’s time for Zosia Samosia or the character created by a Polish poet Julian Tuwim. Zosia Samosia is a poem for children but it also is a satire on what is known today as “Grrrl Power”. Another famous children poem by him is Lokomotywa which is about an engine that pulls about forty cars, a different load each. Tuwim wrote, too, for adults but the subject matter of these poems is more serious and no fun at all.
