Zpy: Blender add-on for machine vision and synthetic data

Hi,

My team has been working on an open source toolkit/add-on that lets ML scientists and developers to generate large synthetic datasets, which are then used to train computer vision models. This is an alternative to the way things are traditionally done with computer vision, where ML teams will scrape and hand label real photos for their dataset. Instead, we’re using Blender to build and render the large pre-labeled datasets to train those models.

Is synthetic data something you’ve heard of before? Is it something you’ve worked on yet? Please let us know if you have any questions or feedback on the tools. We appreciate it!

Go team! Blender is the best 3D program for synthetic data creation: no other tool has the full end to end workflow inside a single open source package.
