i never realized before that the spectrum, and timex sinclair, looked quite a bit different despite having the same innards. the timex one was much more ‘ramped’ in shape (which made it a great door stop in old houses… hehe), and had a membrane keyboard instead of the chicklet style. same ports though… you forgot the 16kb ram expansion.

First computer I ever owned!

Learned Basic on a BBC Micro

I’m old enough to remember punch cards

was my first personal computer as well (the timex version)… still have that doorstop around somewhere. and yeah, i remember punchcards as well… my mother did mainframe programming, so was exposed to computers and programming earlier than pc’s becoming mainstream.

My dad worked on Enigma.
I’ve always had a close connection with computers.

That great! Man, had spent LOTS of time on it, Knight Lore to be precise ))
Btw. Plastic casing is a bit different style imho. It was quite good quality /or intentionaly time-worn out ?? ))

Old Times… well done!
Was my first computer - Jesus Christ - i’am so old !
