Nnice Car Model. Keep The Good Work !!! ; )

Thats Beautiful!!!..u have to tell me how u did the wheels…wow man its amazing!!

Thanks
I followed <this> tutorial for the tire, My tire mesh is messy but it works so I’m not overly worried. You can find lots of tire tread patterns <here> to use as the guide for making the pattern.

oops the last render I forgot to turn on the exhaust:o

Are you going to finish it with Shelby stripes along the bonnet?

For sure they must be on there.

update
Added the bits on the rims, I think there called knock offs or something(correct me if i’m wrong) and a little tweaking.

Next probably interior unless theres something else i need to do?

yes, they’re called knockoffs, because you knocked them off with a mallet to remove the wheels. The old wire wheels fit onto a splined axle, then the knockoffs threaded on the end to keep the wheels attached. Nice job depicting these wheels, I don’t remember what they’re are called but have always loved the look. Are you going to included bumperettes or leave the front end naked? Really looks nice.

How about a Sunbeam Tiger for a companion piece?

I think I’ll leave it without them or the quickjacks on the back, I think it looks better.

Now, arhm next…
what the heck I’ll do the chasis and brakes and stuff, since there are so many reffernce pictures of it <here> because a guy is blogging about him making one. unless my computer dies from to many poly’s;) then that way i can also get the interior to fit to the right shape since there are not many pictures of the interior to see down where your feet go.

It’s looking great. Very impressive, and leaving off the bumperettes lets us see those great curves on the front end.

thanks klaatuteela

Here ive nearly completed the basic chassis part lots to do still though;) Hopefully this part is the right dimesions.
Comments crits?
Edit i forgot to remake a triangle shaped plane thing on the back after i deleted it.

More progress on the chassis.

I’ve been watching this one, looks fantastic and some nice details. One of my favorite cars to drive when I play Gran Turismo, really look forward to the finished thing

LOOK at that hinge on the gas tank cap!!! That’s detailed.

Really impressive stuff, so smooth modelling.
Care to do a tutorial?

Thanks ppl

@ Jorge Antunes- i dont think i would do a tutorial, im not that good:o. Except i would say something that makes it easier for me:
for example i treat the fuel cap as the size of a house, instead of some little thing on the back, and i hide all other objects im not working on. it makes it seem easier to put more details in, in my oppinion:D

Same here, it handles nicely and fun to drive in that game.

yeah, made a new tire since the other one was baaad.Im happy with this one.

Yes very weird render here but i had to turn objects off and lower the ao samples, to reduce render time, the car is now at over 1 million faces with all the objects.

Btw i love the smilies on this forum:eyebrowlift:

Really, you should consider doing a tutorial about car modelling. It’s looking great so far!

really nice mechanical modeling, with lots of smooth surfaces.
One point of crit really, the small props seem to have more detail than the body itself, if you look at the latest screens, the gas tank cap has more detail and smoothness than the spoiler and trunk of the car. Same for the rims as seen in the last screenshot. Why go for sick detail in the smallest parts when they make you notice less detail in other areas?

Amazing car fishcake, it looks really smooth and cool, like the Photoguyalready said.

Are you using blender internal for your renders? Or yaf(a)ray or indigo or something?

I like it! Pretty nice detalization! Very good! A!

in the last couple of screenshots the body was undergoing work and things were unconnected so it was a bit jumpy and whatever, also in the 3d view rather than the render the shading is not too good and makes it look like bumps that arent actually there, and how much detail is there in a one piece body anyway?

just the internal.

Now i have finished the petrol cap and done the brake duct grill, after a bit of a break i had. Now the plan is… make the hinges for the rear door, finish the suspension and whatever(in not so much detail since its not seen) then get onto making a nice interior and driver/passenger door hinges etc, then make a prper render.

a few updates…
