Trying to do some fantasy design, I’ve come up with the usual ultra-tech instead…
discouraging
the blend SK_TorusSmoothSubdivide_ScaleBracelet3.zip (216 KB)
anyway, twisting and turning params I think you can get really crazy things with it
Have fun

Hello there
I’m trying to get face normal to show up in SK but still no luck.
I’d like to get the same result as “show normals” in edit mode:
I followed examples in the docs here
but I’ve got this:
That’s clearly not what I want. How to do that?
Anyway I’ve got the feeling I’m missing something…

SHAPE KEYS OUTPUT IS NOW INSIDE SVERCHOK
opened 01:33AM - 27 Apr 17 UTC

question
I am not sure how Blender Shape Keys work internally. Or how its Shape Keys data… got linked into the original object. My feeling is that Blender Shape Keys object data is "dead" once linked into original object.
In Maya or Houdini, Shape Keys itself is something that is always hooked.
My curiosity is that: can the "dead" Shape Keys data be modified... using Sverchok? Maybe Sverchok can be the "live data" that continuously updating the data in Shape Keys, this way, we can make Sverchok to act more or less like Modifier, if only the mesh data of original object matches the Sverchok data.

What do you all think? Good idea? Yay or Nay?

Sverchok will now use Mathutils matrix for everything. If somebody have problems with some nodes or scripts because of that change, report here or on github. Or use this release: https://github.com/nortikin/sverchok/releases/tag/0.5.9.6.4

Thanks, Ko. Exactly we now use all Matrices in matric sockets as mathutils.Matrix.
Thank you, Ko. for your efforts.

Hiya, is there a way to generate uv maps for generated geometry in sverchok? Of course I realize complicated meshes this might be tricky and probably wouldn’t lovely but for things like glorified cylinders, grids (and meshes created from sweeping curves, etc) seems like it would be do able.

I have this dilemma with UV Map when working using Sverchok. I knew this matter … will eventually arise.
1) I am generating some kind of random mesh using Sverchok and output it as BMesh.
2) Once happy with random mesh, I am doing this UV projection and make UV nice.
3) Next step however, I want to be able to animate and modify the mesh, while preserving the UV. In the past, I just use Ctrl + L to transfer UV from mesh with good UV to final 3D object tweaked in Sverchok.
Blender has **DataTransfer Modifier** that actually do transfer UV on the fly, however this failed because whenever Sverchok updates the mesh, the UV disappear. So currently my "hack" is to use Exec Node to do smart_project(), but maybe not the best:

Any tips on this? Thanks!
yes, there is some tricks.

Hello there
I’m using cross sections on an imported model:
I’d like the section to be aligned to the object normals, sort of:
How can I do that? The blend:

Excellent, thanks so much @nikitron ! As an aside: I really wish the 3D gods had found a longer name for uvs as it makes searching forums/threads for the term very difficult.
