A thread for fan characters belonging to Sam Fennah’s world of Kivouack (and also my experiments with cel shading). Artwork may be rough as I am testing various shortcuts while making those models.

For starters, here is Manchester. Initially was supposed to be an earthborn so there is moon in the scene. Currently I’m reworking him into proper Underbirth origin since Satellite City is no longer canon

These two are Flavia and Francois. Yes, Kivva species basically look like anything animal inspired, save for cross shape pupils and three navels. Nevertheless, I tried to follow some common design trends with the canon

A short comic I forgot to upload; made for “Hunger Games” event on Fennah’s Discord this August. The prompt was “characters discuss current politics”. The catch is that Manchester (on the right) is quite bonkers and feral in his current lore. Quill (dapper kiv) © to whoever owns him (goes by Rutherford on Fennah’s Discord). Manchester is mine
More renders of Flavia (and possibly another kiv character that I’ll adapt from an old generic monster model). She worked as a Dollie (provider of various, ahem, entertainment services like dancing) before having to run away. Sometimes such work sucks, because of size difference between Kivva (though not in the way you’d think of
). I imagined her Dollhouse to look like literal dollhouse. Blender 3.2, Eevee
Finished porting (and “kivifying”) an older model I had, so here is a preview. I have lot of random monsters to reuse for future projects. His name will be Kehaya and he is a trouble customer in dollhouses. Has nasty history with Francois and Flavia
Possible story development for Manchester. In the current continuity, he was stranded on a dark ring of Loc (part of Hammerlow district of Underbirth), growing mad from hunger and isolation. He entered the state of suspended animation, only awakening when potential prey came nearby. Then, some Carver snuck an expedition to the dark ring, to catch some of those fierce forgotten kivva for his bloodhall (gladiatorial ring). Manchester unfortunately fell for the bait in the form of one of his Bleeders
Redesign of Bob, very unfortunate character from Satellite City series, if he’d appear in August Few continuity. I guess he could be a douser (underwater kivva “subspecies”) Architect and move massive blocks using mouth and front fins. Flavia cannot get a break with all the large guys in her life. (Some of the kivva could develop ability of altering their bodies with training, like Flavia uses here to go underwater) Blender 3.4, Eevee, GIMP
Finished (sort of) a model of Dem’yan the Inker, self insert character pretty much. He works in Brightedge Inkhouse and was privy to many historical events of Underbirth. Semi-realistic style for a change. Made a nice parallax effect fur shader for him. My best attempt of rendering “fake” fur so far
