Thanks pal, nice to hear.
I’ve made another test with two renders (each 30 minutes) to illustrate an idea I’ve had. Press button to see what I mean:

Made some more models for the scene:
C&C welcome as always!
wow looks like your on an object rampage, these things look awsome the textures are great, if you add some nice lighning, im sure you will, this will be really good.
hmm this sounds as if it wasnt good already, you kow what i mean
Thanks pal. Here’s a render I did overnight. 12 hours on my AMD Sempron 3100 (1 threat) with Indigo 1.0.4. Original size 1600x1000
C&C please, I don’t know how to make the lighting really interesting, tried sunlight, tried this mesh-lit scene, anyone ideas?
Thanks, ye I know it, it was on blendernation some time ago, nice site, am sure to gonna dig through that one, thanks.
Here are some more models done. Hope you like em. Some more actual tools are on the way.
Edit – don’t mind the green crate, it has an inside already
And yet some more…
DUDE this amazing, really good job with the details, i mean a really good job, i can’t wait to see it finished.
I think sunlight looks the best, although you could do both, one render sun light and one mesh emitter!
Wonderful work!
Hey question, where did you get those textures, i really want to know!
Thanks
Yes please, your textures are amazing!
I’m loving this work, especially the Indigo renders.
Thanks rwhendrix! And thanks a lot Photoguy and Hobo Joe, I’m glad you guys like it.
About the textures. A very few, like three or four, are from SXC.hu modified with photoshop (the door and tabletop for example). But most are photo’s I took are objects from our shed or my room lit by as much as possible indirect light, aimed at the walls of my house so that you don’t see a blue sky (if we have any, I’m from holland, though lately it’s rather blue skied here these days) reflected in the texture. Then put into Photoshop to correct the colors a bit, sometimes make them a bit more dirty, but multiple shots in one jpeg, sometimes with round objects like the paintjars or buckets, I stitch some photo’s together to get a horizontally tileable texture for the outside and use a top and bottom shot for, well the top and bottom of the objects. Most textures are rather messy and most are not properly UV-unwrapped, but keeping the models rather low-poly, it’s fairly easy to get all uv-faces in the proper positions. I even sometimes use a shot with perspective (like the wooden boxes in the fore-last image) and apply them using the 3D-perspective-view to project the texture to the model. That’s really fun. Here is an image with some of my textures in it. 1st time I’ve used a watermark on my images :P. Sry bout that.
Here’s another render in the meantime.
EDIT
here’s another render. rendered for 35 minutes, background grain removal with ps
