Blender 2.8 viewport updates

About Single Color (first item in display methods) > Material: Would it be possible to create some smart algorithm to calculate the dominant color of a material, and automatically configure it for Viewport Display in material?
It is a bit tedious to do it manually for each material in material tab.

I’ve had the exact same thought. Maybe start a new thread for 2.8 viewport ideas or something.
