Hi everyone here’s my image “City of Gold” hope you like it! Its my guess at what I think the golden city of El Dorado might have looked like
The attached image is a half res image, here’s the full size render: http://sdrv.ms/13FrnSR
This is my entry.
I call it “Pentagram” to honor the occultism in ancient civilizations.
(Originally planed to remove the fireflies, but I think they look kind of cool - like glowing dust of sorts:cool:)
Here is my entry. Rendered in Cycles at 2000 samples and denoised with bilateral blur. The idea is that someone has found a cache of mint condition ancient coins. I hope you enjoy it.
Well guys here is my humble entry:) I call it Forgotten Kingdom. Hope you like it.
Render time: 5hr22min at 1080p resolution at 200 samples
22 particle systems, approx. 2.1 billion faces  not counting any of the leaves in the foreground.

I have always enjoyed ancient Egyptian architecture, and I had the pleasure of taking a trip to Egypt a few years ago to see the pyramids. This inspired me to make this creation called “Ancient Egyptian Architects.” I hope you enjoy it.
Elephant and blinds is an ancient story that can be adapted to not only the ancient civilization, almost every thing.
Hello, this is my entry - ‘Anonymous the scriptor’. It’s my first render ever. Made with cycles, 500 samples, ~45 minutes of render time. Hope you like it.

G’day!
I’ve been using Blender for about 10 months now, so obviously I’m not too confident with my skills but I’ve learnt so much from Andrew that I figured why not participate in this competition.
So with no further due I present my entry:
The image is 2160x2400, rendered with cycles, Composited in blender and did a little tuning in gimp. I used 1k samples.
This is my first work I am letting the Blender community to see, so please be gentle with the criticism! Just kidding! Let it all out on me! I can take it, I want to improve I need to know what you guys think!
Thank you guys and ofcourse Thank you Andrew for all the teaching and guiding you give us!

Alrighty folks, the competition is now closed!
It was unfortunate for the BA hacking to occur right on the deadline, but I’m hoping with the 2 days extension you had time to either submit here, or in the comments on BG.
The entries are being collected now.
Hola Luis, que buen trabajo el que hiciste nos dejaste muy bien a los colombianos con ese render!
