I’ve entered a few of these and he generally doesn’t take longer than a week or two, (probably less than that), which, considering he judges by himself (as far as I know) and the number of evenly matched entries, is actually quite fast. It’s good he takes his time judging instead of rolling one of those bingo things, don’t ya think?

how could you make the blood look more realistic? it looks to thin. not viscous enough. did you render it with the internal render? wouldnt subsurface scattering be appropriate for blood? (and maybe the color even a bit darker?) i think it’s the shape of the drops, too, that makes the blood look less viscous then it should. i think the edge of the drops would be more smooth in a liquid with a high surface tension. the biggest drop looks already pretty good when it comes to the point of the shape.
