So many possibilities for this one. I have so many ideas.

Placeholders help theeth get an idea of how many people are entering, and I think there’s some other reason I can’t remember…

Placeholders are something which have to be done. It’s something religious. Nobody questions the placeholders. They are holy.

Not to burst your balloon here, but I couldn’t care less about the number of placeholders. Unless someone would like to do a statistical analysis of placeholder numbers vs actual entries.

and I think there’s some other reason I can’t remember…

It used to determined the order for the voting thread, but for a couple of weeks now, since I’ve created Voting-thread-o-matic 2.0, it’s all sorted alphabetically, so…

It’s mostly good for tradition though.

Ah, that’s the reason I was given when I asked, so that’s the reason I gave. Damn misinforming people… I’ll learn them some respect…

Great, yet hard, topic.

Sorry, not as much time as I would have liked.
Good luck peoples =P

Voting-thread-o-matic 2.0 - sounds like you took it out from a douglas adams book.

Hmmm…, light, well sounds good, I will learn much, because light is not my strongest part %| and I also want to learn how to make scripts. But that doesn’t mean I won’t participate [!] [!].
And with so many expected entries, I can’t stay behind.

Interested in all my works since I have blender (7 weeks now)?
I have a new site www.freewebs.com/marcoscosci on which you can find them.
It a new site so don’t expect too much.

Good luck everyone.

There stood the holy grail, revealed to the senses only in the light.

A well chosen topic - I’d enter, but I have to save myself for the BWC

Well, here it is, my first ever wc entry. I named it “Night Light”. It is a pure image. It is an abstract space piece, with particles and halos. Below is a tile of the full size image.

Good topic, I learned some light stuff. My pic is pretty bad, I got sidetracked in a lot of other projects… Anyway here it is.

Edit: Everyone’s putting that their’s is done fully in blender, so I’ll say that mine is too, I don’t even know how to render elsewhere or post-process. :stuck_out_tongue:

I could only think of two things for this theme - a light bulb and a beer mug with a glowing halo

This is 100% pure Blender. No external render and no post-processing.

Uh… long time since I’ve even touched Blender… but it’s got a whole bunch of new features, so I’ll give it a go even tho I’ll probably won’t finish :-?

Placeholdah

nice render, but… I don’t really see how a beer mug goes into the “light” topic. It is a glowing beer mug, though. :stuck_out_tongue:
