Now is fish for every meal!
Hi guys!
Today I finished the modeling phase of the second fish I made to bring life to the tavern’s lake. This one was a bit more complex, as it has some quite distinct shapes, but I achieved the result I was aiming for.
On Monday, it will gain color! Have a great weekend, everyone!
Best regards,

Hi fguys!!
Today I started painting our second fish that will inhabit the waters of our story’s lake. I chose a common orange fish, and I’m blending in some colors to give it a sense of movement and also to make it stand out in the water.
Tomorrow, I’ll continue with the scales, which is the most time-consuming process.
I hope you like it!

Hi guys!
Today I finished painting the fish scales. I decided to add more complexity to the shadows, which ended up extending the time spent on them. I’m still deciding on how to paint the fins in a way that pleases me. It’s not quite there yet.
Hope you like it!

Rute Perdiz
They are looking really impressive @Rute_Perdiz! Will make my future work really easy! Thank you very much!
Hi guys!
Today I finished our second little fish to bring life to the pond.
I really enjoyed making this one, even though the scales were quite challenging to paint.
I’m really pleased with the final result.
What do you think?

Rute Perdiz
Awesome! Looking forward to seeing how these fish are going to show up in the movie.
They are pretty much visible all the time swimming around and specially on the under water shots. They are in the concept too if you look carefully for them

Oooh yes indeed! How cool is that. It will look wonderful when animated.
Hi guys!
I’m sharing with you the video documenting the process that went into my latest painting, from the initial idea to the textural painting.
Hope you enjoy it!!

Hi guys!
Today I started painting another variation of fish to put in the pond. I chose to use the first model I sculpted and just change a few shapes. The painting isn’t quite how I wanted it yet, so I’ll have to study it more carefully. I’ll continue tomorrow!
Hope you like it!

Hi guys!
Today I continued working on the new fish I’ve been developing. It’s based on the first one I made, but I changed some sizes to make it a bit different. It’s been a struggle with the colors because I don’t feel very comfortable with blacks or whites; they are difficult colors for me to work with. However, I think it will turn out great with the development of the scales… I’ll keep going to see.
Hope you like it!

On today news I want to announce that the submission time for the cinema fund is almost over:
We have already submitted ours for COLP, so it’s awesome that the time of waiting is finally over
I’ll keep you posted
Hi guys!
Today I continued working on the scales of the latest fish I’ve been working on. I’m testing out some colors to see which ones complement each other best, but I hope by tomorrow the scale area will be complete.
What do you think? Do you like it?
Best regards,
Rute Perdiz
Hi guys!
Today I managed to finally finish my work with the scales of our fish.
However, I’m still studying the colors I’ll use for the fins.
I think it will be finished tomorrow.
What do you think?

Hello friends!
I have news about new sponsors. More specifically Blender Market affiliation.
Every time you buy an add-on, by following my link, we get a small percentage of the sale.
On Resilience Satelle we had a sponsor zone on the first page (in that case for Pure-Sky that we eventually started using for the volumetric skies.
Now I have been contacted by gen.mock that also generously offered Blender Market affiliation for his product GOBOS Textures a huge collection of tailored GOBOS (textures for you to place on lamps and simulate complex illumination like foliage, spectral light, stained glass among others).
Therefore I’ll also add both of them to the first page of this thread as we’ll surely, eventually, use both for COLP too
Hi guys!
Today I finished painting the entire painting of the last fish I developed. Painting in dark tones has always been an adventure for me. I always struggle to work with these colors, so I end up trying various variations until I get the one I like. The result was this, and I am pleased!
I hope you like it!
