OMG! How can you work with such an enormous files? You can reduce them in size and bit depth for export. I don’t think that Blendswap would handle files that big (their weekly allowance for non paying members is just 150 MB)

The arm is deforming really weird (especially the shoulder as it currently doesn’t deform at all) but the rest looks amazing!

It’s Cloud. If I could only create that same quality of hair in GIMP…

but he has black hair?

Zack’s hair is more directed towards the back and his hair could be black due to the UV mapping.

Black? Is just black in the viewport because for the alpha strand texture, works better with defuse black color.

Oh. By the way, where did you get the technique to create those hair strands?

I learned from a tutorial of Lee Salvemini some while ago, but the material I have been testing various ways and for me, the best method is using textures with transparence value in the Color Map. Like PNG or any other format. It’s almost the same as using the “Grass Shading” with Blend textures.

He is using 2.49 but overall is the same process. Takes a really long time if you want many strands.

Ok, saw that and have a better method for that part. But I was talking about the hair texture.
