Cloud Strife Model

I use Photoshop to paint the textures.
With some brush strokes above a hair photo you can make the strands color and then erase the parts you want to be transparence and thats all. You can make a bump and spec map from that too.
I did three variations of the color texture.

Works in gimp as well, there is no secret.

Unfortunately, I’m not as proficient in Gimp with out instructions to that’s why I must search.

Do you think you can find out how many tris this model is? Or perhaps faces because it’s in quads?

This is the fist test render with some comp in photoshop, is not the final one, cause a have to texture some parts of the sword and add some particles etc…

I render in Blender internal.
The comp in Blender was really simple, i just added some bloom and glow effects on the metal. The main color correction was done in Photoshop with color balance.

Thanks for sharing that WOW that looks great with Blender Internal. is it possible to have Cloud rendered in Cycles ? Like a test I mean to see whats possible out of Cycles

Man, i think it is possible, but it’s been a long time since a use cycles for the last time, cause i don’t have a nvidia graphic card in my machine anymore, and a found the cpu mode in cycles very slow, so i prefer stick with BI for now. (I wonder start to study renders like Vray, later on). Anyway, i don’t now if cycles support normal maps and SSS now. I use that for this project, and i think would be very time consuming to convert the file for cycles.
