The year is 2122. Plastic has consumed 2/3 of all existing water bodies. Oil spills made spoiled fish lungs and industry’s waste dump, nuclear blast tests and ocean debris left species extinct. The gamma radiation affected certain species and they started mutating. Mermaids and monters among men. An underwater civilisation; in what was left of all water body, came into existence. Fifty long years and humans destroyed their world above and love is the answer for all the chaos. An inadvertent love story. This 3D artwork is depiction of mankind’s last hope. Giving away their genes to the mutated underworld goddess.

Interesting how the layout is a bit like a flipped, slightly rotated version of The Creation of Adam. Was this deliberate?

Hahah well tbh I wasn’t entirely inspired by it but I guess I had that somewhere on the back of my mind. I was focusing on the dystopian vibe more but I can see how this would seem inspired by it. Great observation ulan!
