Just a Daz3d model and a Poly Haven HDRI, but then I built out lighting on top of it using the new Cinematic Lighting Course from Creative Shrimp. It’s really helpful! Highly recommend the course if you’re looking to step up your lighting game.
In terms of technically-correct vs. artistically beautiful, he definitely leans more toward the latter (for example he doesn’t work with a correct scale for his character lighting section). But I honestly see this is a perk rather than a flaw, since I already know a good bit about technically accurate lighting and was looking to learn more about art direction.
