I’m just posting to let you know that I’m still watching.
this project has really improved since the beginning
Thank you : )
Look out, soon I’m going to post the first 1200 frames of the final movie (!!) in the Focused Critique section to here how I can improve my animations. I takes quite long to render the whole thing, (about 6000 min) but it should be up after this upcomming weekend.
So take a look at monday everyone : )
Your work is awesome i love this wip ! it’s for an animation?
I think you should make more faster jumping that thing 1.5 speed ore 2x it will looks more alive. Nice work!
Kunta@ Hi and thank you : ) yes it’s going to be an animation. I think it’s going to be somewhere around three minutes long.
STart@ Thank you for the crit, yes I agree with you and I’ll fix that as soon as possible. If you have any other things I can improve, please let me know. As I said before I’m kinda new to animations so I sometimes don’t know what’s good and not, crits will only help me on my way : )
Well, Hi again. This is three images that’s among the first 1200 frames of movie that I’m currently rendering. But I’d like to show you these samples to here what you think about the lighting and the scenes etc.
Any crits are welcome. : )

I’m a fan of well lit scenes, too much dark stuff floating around for my taste, I’m not jumping for joy over the lighting but it is looking better than most.
NOOBIE@ Well I’m having quite a problem with getting the lightning right but I’m trying to get the black of without flashing out the whole scene. This prooved to be a real challenge…
Well this is it! I’ve been waiting for four whole days and the first 1400 frames that I promissed are finally finished! check it out with the link below and give me all the critique you can : )
The music is Sly joe & the smooth operators with their song Brand new walking shoes which I think sets the mood of the movie that I wanted really well (not nessesarily the music of the final version)
Resolution: 1280X1024
Render time: approximately 2 days
Enjoy : )

(OBS the last part of the clip isn’t done yet as you can see :P)
OOOOOkay!!! It’s finally done!
I’m really proud of finishing a project this big, since I usually stop halfway through them. But here it is!
There are some errors in the movie, I know. but my deadline were at noon today since I finish school tomorrow and therefore I can’t render more images on my own. (my computer at home is really slow…)
Please follow the following link to vimeo: CLICK HERE
Project time: 4 months
Resolution: 1280x1024

I’m glad you finally finished!
I’ll watch it later, if I can.
Well done!
Okay, I also promised to myself that I would upload all the files for you people to use. That is if you’ve seen anything in the movie that you think looks good enough to use or something that you wanna take a look at.
The animation of the main part is only one big file and one continious shot. So you can download the whole .blend file with the whole animation down below.
Downloads:
The main animation
the bed table
the alarm clock
the cactus
the last animation (the “made by John” one)
the computer (mouse, screen, keyboard and chassi)
the stapler
the earth globe
the straightedge
the tapemeasurer
the pencil
the blender goblet
the radio
the scizzor
the chair
the erasers
Feel free to use them any way you like.
Well, this is simply amazing. Just one thing, we didn’t have to make it such a high resolution, a 1024x786 would have been enough for the quality/time rendering process.
And I have a question. For the Keyboard (the thing to type with… Just kidding) how did you do the keys ? Did you take a picture for every one of them or a picture of the keyboard and then you splitted (is this a word ? firefox doesn’t agree…) in as many pictures as there are keys ? Or you just made a character inside blender and put it on the keys ?
For the stapler, you could have made it throw staples all over the place, or staple the chair… just an idea.
And again, very very well done !
that was pretty cool, and pretty funny.
Hi, thank you for watching.
alexisb38@ hehe, yea, maybe I pushed the resolution to far but I wanted it to look as good as possible. I did after all work at it for four months so it would’ve been a shame to throw it out with bad resolution but I can now see your point : )
I gladly answer questions, and for the keyboard you don’t have to split it up into diffrent materials, you can actually use the very same material for all of the keys. (All of the erasers use the same material to.) The only thing you have to do is to set the map input to UV and then UV-map each key to the same key at the picture. See the screen pic below.
Haha, that stapler idea sounds really good : ) I can’t put it into the movie at this time but I’ll might very well try it out in chapter two
blender3daddict@ Thanks, glad you liked it : )
