Doc Chin Khoanh - Ha Giang, Viet Nam landscape - Middle and close shot

Hi everyone!
Today I want to show some middle and close shots of our personal landscape project in this year: Dốc Chín Khoanh - one of the most majestic slope in North Viet Nam
Blender 3.6LTS helped us control the memory usage very well while we we had some “out of memory” moment with Blender 3.5
Hope you guys like it and have a nice day!

First - let me say - Amazing Work !!

You are much better at blender than I am, I hope to be as good as you, one day.

Can I give you some comments ? - I think you can be even better ?
I guess you want to get ‘Photo Realism’ ? - rather than another ‘Style’ ?

The First Photo: Amazing Details.
Top left - The cloud - seems more like ‘smoke’ ( like the photographer was smoking… )

  • the sky seems very ‘Blue’ ? ( no warmth? ) - in fact almost all shots are very ‘blue’…

The 2nd Photo: ( Red Car )
The street light ‘shapes’ seems like you have 2 different models ? And scale seems ‘wrong’ on some.
The Car - the wheels - it’s turning too ‘fast’ ? - ( the wheel is rotated too much. )

The 3rd Photo: ( Orange Car )
The Car is ‘parked’ ? - it’s so far over to the side…

The 4th Photo: - Amazing !
Only the clouds seem ‘wrong’

6th - ( Orange Car - uphill )
Was there a typhoon? - the road is so dirty ? - but only in the middle and left side ?
Lights look much better here.
Roof tiles - are too ‘perfect’ ? - need a more ‘random’ pattern.
The ‘Smoke / lens flair’ ?

The last shot….

Almost perfect, just the ‘ Smoke ‘ in the air… it’s not quite ‘real’ enough.

I hope you don’t mind my feedback.
I really wish I was able to create this level of detail.

I with you all the best in your 3D Career !!

Thank you so much @Mike365Smith ! I sincerely appreciate the feedback you have given us. All your comments are right, especially the cloud effect.
I used very simple basic technique to create clouds so it’s not real as I want.
2nd photo: I used only 1 street light model, and its height is 12 meters, same as in real life. The red car is running in to corner so the wheel is turning like that, but I did not add any effect so it looks weird a bit
3rd: yes may be the car is parked or running really slow
6th: yes there is typhoon sometimes, many mountain roads in Vietnam are dirty like that after a rain, and the roads have their own slope, so mud, clay or dirty will drifting down the drainage ditch on both sides of the road

Thank you so much again for your thoughtful comments and have a nice day!
We wish you all the best too

Very beautiful, amazing artwork

Thank you so much @AlexFromaway !

You need to work on a ‘better’ cloud system. ( it’s making your ‘GREAT’ work look ‘less great’ )
Do you use a HDRI ? for lighting / Render ? ( have you tried something ‘warmer’ ? )

The Red Car - I think at that wheel angle - it will turn too fast - in a small circle. - check some photo reference to confirm. ( you only need to turn the wheel a little - to turn. )

The Orange Car - it just seems like a ‘strange’ place to park. ( if it was better placed on the road - it would look more ‘real’ )

The ‘Dirt’ in the middle of the road and only one side - seems ‘fake’… ( Tells the brain - something ‘wrong’ with this image. )

Again, these are amazing images - and only my advice how you can take them from 95% to 120%

Yeah thank you so much! I will tweak them for final video

Great - I’m looking forward to checking that out… if you share the final video…

here is a quick ‘edit’ I did in photoshop - to show what I mean…

Yes I know what you mean, but I want a “colder” scene so I changed the color a little bit instead of warmer atmosphere/plants/lighting in this scene. Thank you anyway

ok, understood. it’s your vision.
