First Attempt at Making a Skull: One Hour Sculpt Practice

Doing one hour sculpts when I have the time. This was the first attempt at making an anatomically correct skull. I only had an hour so I think I ended up with a more cartoony version. Which I don’t mind. Any critiques are welcome!

In an hour it is good. If you put in another hour I’d suggest spending it on the zygomatic arch. There is a hole behind it where the jaw muscle passes through.

Did you sculpt this only from memory, or did you have a reference?

Thanks. That was one of the details I was trying to get right. it’s the first try and I only gave myself an hour. I’m going to do a long term sculpt to try and get all the anatomical details right.

I am doing one myself at the moment. I have a plastic anatomical model as a reference. That helps a lot. Let’s compare when we’re done.
